Orbital elements are the six parameters that fully describe the size, shape, and orientation of a Keplerian orbit: semi-major axis, eccentricity, inclination, longitude of ascending node, argument of periapsis, and time of periapsis passage. Together they allow prediction of an orbiting body's position at any time.
