Herbig Ae/Be Star

Herbig Ae/Be stars are pre-main-sequence stars of intermediate mass (1.5-10 solar masses) analogous to T Tauri stars but of spectral types A and B. They show excess infrared emission from circumstellar dust disks and are important for studying planet formation around more massive stars.
