Dwarf Galaxy

Dwarf galaxies are small galaxies containing from a few thousand to a few billion stars — far fewer than the Milky Way's 200-400 billion. They are the most numerous galaxy type in the universe, often orbiting larger galaxies as satellites, and several dozen surround the Milky Way.
