Dark Energy

Dark energy is the unknown form of energy permeating all of space and driving the accelerating expansion of the universe. It accounts for about 68% of the total energy content and is commonly modelled as a cosmological constant (Einstein's lambda), though its physical nature remains one of the deepest mysteries in physics.
