Fermi Paradox

The Fermi Paradox is the contradiction between the high probability estimates for the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations and the total absence of evidence for them. Proposed resolutions include the rarity of complex life, the short lifespans of civilizations, physical limits on interstellar travel, or that we have not yet looked carefully enough.
