Cosmic Void

Cosmic voids are the vast, nearly empty regions of space between filaments and walls in the cosmic web, typically tens to hundreds of megaparsecs across. They contain very few galaxies relative to the cosmic average; dark energy causes them to expand faster than the overall universe.
