Star-Forming Region

A star-forming region is a dense area of molecular gas and dust within a galaxy where gravitational collapse is actively producing new stars. Famous examples include the Orion Nebula, the Carina Nebula, and the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud.
