Nucleosynthesis

Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) is the production of light nuclei — deuterium, helium-3, helium-4, and lithium-7 — in the first minutes after the Big Bang. The predicted abundances match observations extremely well, providing one of the strongest tests of the standard cosmological model.
