Kepler's Laws

Kepler's three laws of planetary motion describe how objects orbit: planets move in ellipses with the star at one focus; a planet sweeps equal areas in equal times; and the square of the orbital period is proportional to the cube of the semi-major axis. They underpin all exoplanet orbit calculations.
