Spectral Energy Distribution

A spectral energy distribution (SED) maps the flux emitted by an astronomical object across a broad range of wavelengths, from radio to X-ray. Fitting models to an SED reveals physical properties including temperature, luminosity, and the presence of circumstellar dust.
