Technosignature

A technosignature is any measurable property or effect that provides scientific evidence of past or present technology by an intelligent civilization. Examples include artificial radio transmissions, laser pulses, atmospheric industrial pollutants, megastructures (Dyson spheres), and city lights detectable by transit photometry.
