Stellar Metallicity

Stellar metallicity describes the abundance of elements heavier than helium in a star, often expressed as [Fe/H] relative to the Sun. Metal-rich stars are significantly more likely to host giant planets, as heavy elements seed the solid cores of giant planets during formation.
